New Year's Eve at Rembrandtplein.

On 31 December everyone picks a door: the clubs (Escape, Jantjes Verjaardag, Club NYX, John Doe, De Heeren van Aemstel) sell their New Year's Eve in advance and usually sell out weeks ahead; the cafes on the square and in Reguliersdwarsstraat work with entry at the door or walk in freely. At midnight the square is packed; the fireworks are best seen from the Blauwbrug and the Amstel.

Practical: around midnight no tram or metro runs; night buses and taxis take over. Most venues go on until 5 am or later. Tickets and tables: at the venue, never with us.
